Your Role
We are looking for a senior Project Manager who has rich experience in managing outsourcing projects that deliver 3D game assets. The ideal candidate would be an excellent organizer, relationship-builder and effective communicator. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our creative projects are managed successfully.
You’ll work closely with the art team in Envar’s Outsourcing department, as well as Envar’s partners. There will be multiple projects on your hand for you to plan, set up, manage and deliver. Your leadership skills, positive energy and focus on relationship building will help the studio operate at peak performance.
This is a full-time freelance position.
Key Responsibilities
Project management: Ensure that the planning, setup, progress, timeline, expenses and documentation of multiple projects are on track.
Delivery: Ensure project deliveries are timely, high-quality and valuable.
Clarity: Ensure that there is a smooth and effective flow of information and communication throughout the projects.
Scheduling: Help with scheduling and planning for our artists, ensuring they are occupied by one project at all times.
Artist management: Keep track of the artists' deliverables and accountabilities.
General Support: Support both artists and clients during the project journey.
Client relationship: Build and maintain a strong, trusting, long-term partnership with clients.
Leadership: assist the team lead with leadership tasks, such as quality monitoring, acting for the lead when they are out of office, etc.
Optimization: Execute and improve current processes, methods, approach, flow, tool utilization and pipeline.
Resource management: Manage and balance the project resources at hand.
Risk Management: Identify & mitigate potential risks. Achieving successful solutions.
Quality: Contribute to upholding the team's quality of work.
Qualifications
3D art: Knowledge on 3D art pipeline and workflow is a must
Education: Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 4-5+ years of working experience (Minimum 2 years of experience managing 3D game art projects.)
Self leadership: Actively seek to understand and fulfill expectations autonomously.
Talent development: Experience in mentoring / training
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets) and virtual communication tools like Slack and Discord.
Process: Experience in setting up new processes
Documentations: Experience in writing routines and guidelines
Detail-Oriented: High degree of accuracy in documentation and task management.
Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills
Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Relocation: Open to considering and discussing in the future, if the collaboration goes well.
Bonus Points
Experience using project management tools like Favro or Miro.
Experience in using Maya / Zbrush / Blender / other 3D programs
An art-related degree / diploma
Understanding of game art pipelines
Interest in games / art
Language skills in Mandarin / French / Korean.
